Fabrication
Diversified Plastics, Inc. has the skills and equipment to employ a variety of fabrication processes for a variety of materials, from plastics to metals. This enables us to tackle projects that integrate disparate materials and take on complex forms — projects others won’t touch. We are experienced in product development and prototyping. In-shop, we offer a complete range of services from plastic welding to vacuum forming to parts assembly. Our experienced fabricators are cross-trained on all processes and work in SolidWorks and Mastercam — the two leading software interfaces for 3-D fabrication.

Injection Molding
Diversified Plastics’ injection molding is a great choice for producing large runs on short turns and tight budgets. Our services include in-house design and fabrication of custom tooling and molds, including low-cost aluminum mold inserts. Once we’ve created the molds and completed a successful test run, we begin full-line production using a variety of materials. Our state-of-the-art facilities can mold engineered industrial resins into virtually any shape. We employ SolidWorks and Mastercam as software interfaces.

Machining
Diversified Plastics, Inc. offers a full range of machining. Inside our 35,000-square-foot facility, we employ CNC mills, lathes and routers, along with precise cutting and drilling tools. Most important, our experienced professionals work with the latest 3-D software from SolidWorks and Mastercam, and know how to use our advanced equipment to meet your exact specifications regardless of tolerance.

Polyurethane Casting
Urethane is a remarkable material that can be cast into shapes, bonded into rolls and wheels, or poured into plates of varying sizes and thicknesses. Urethane can be tailored to specific hardnesses, and it bonds to virtually any metal. Needless to say, working with urethane is completely different than working with traditional plastics. At Diversified Plastics, Inc., we’ve been casting urethane for years, and have developed proprietary processes and protocols for using it. Our urethane parts will meet your specifications not only for shape and size, but also for hardness. In fact, we can cast urethane components in durometers from 40A to 75D.

Drag Conveyors
Drag Conveyors encompass a wide range of industries and applications from grain production to mining to food processing. Regardless, drag conveyor components must stand up to continuous movement, variable speeds and extreme wear. At Diversified Plastics, Inc. our manufacturing capabilities support a broad range of standard and custom plastic components for drag conveyors. Most important, the parts are manufactured to be application specific and to ensure high performance and long life.

Metering Screws
Metering screws and augers come in thousands of sizes, lengths and configurations, which makes engineered plastic the ideal material for fabricating them. Lighter, less expensive, nonferrous and often more durable than metals, plastic is used for metering products and materials across most every industry — agriculture, food processing, packaging, manufacturing and much more.

Poultry Processing
The food industry in general and poultry processing in particular rely on specialized machinery for conveying, sorting, holding and processing. And each of those machines has dozens of specialized parts. Plastic is the perfect material for many of them. Engineered plastics come in a variety of formulas with various properties from high-wear to self-lubrication to friction reduction. They can be injection molded, cast and machined into virtually any shape. And, at Diversified Plastics, Inc. we can fabricate custom and common parts in both low and high volumes quickly, to reduce or eliminate downtime.

Sizing Rollers
Sizing roller is a term that covers a wide range of parts used to separate materials and finished goods by size or other attributes. Because rollers can be quite specific for a given industry purpose or even a given factory floor, plastic parts from Diversified Plastics, Inc. are smart, cost-efficient options. We can run high and low volumes. We can mix in additives that help reduce maintenance and wear. And we have the equipment and experience to mold, machine or cast engineered plastics into almost any shape.

EA-55 Polyurethane
Shock-absorbing panels are used to improve worker safety and protect products across a wide range of industries. EA-55 Polyurethane is specially formulated to absorb shock, making it ideal for containing, slowing down or
redirecting material and finished goods (with essentially no rebound). Currently, our EA-55 panels are in use everywhere from mines to sawmills to manufacturing facilities. Sheets can be cast into a wide variety of custom configurations and bonded to other materials such as plastic, wood and steel, or used on their own.

Injection Molded UHMW Resin Compounds
Injection-moldable UHMW resin is an extraordinarily versatile material suited to thousands of industrial applications. Injection molding reduces time and cost relative to machining. It allows for production options such as over-molding on other materials, bonding with elastomers, and even molding around threaded metal inserts or objects. It makes it easy to mold-in valuable information such as company names and logos, part numbers, customer colors and manufacturing dates. And where perfection is a must, molded parts can be economically machined to exact tolerances.

Metal Detectable Plastic Components
Food processors and other industries use metal detectors to identify contamination from a variety of sources, including fragments from machinery and parts. Detecting such contamination before it leaves the plant greatly reduces liability and prevents massive recalls. In the past, that need forced processors to use metal components where plastic ones might actually wear and function better. Not any more.
